Mitch and his wife, Nancy, have been married for thirty years and have five adult children. Mitch says asking Nancy to marry him was the second-best decision he has ever made -- the first was giving his heart to the Lord Jesus Christ in 1991. Since their marriage, Mitch and Nancy have faithfully served Christ and His Church.

The Lord led the Bennett family to Braddock Baptist Church in 2008. Mitch has served Braddock as a Deacon, Deacon Chairman, Elder, and presently, Senior Pastor. Nancy currently serves the church as a Deacon. 

Mitch's life verse is Hebrews 13:5-6: Let your conduct be without covetousness; Be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." So we may boldly say, "The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?" Both Mitch and Nancy testify to God's faithfulness to His promises found in His Word.
